Cheryl M. Elliott, RN, MSN, ANP
Cheryl M. Elliott joined Dr. McClure in January of 1997 as co-founder of Landmark Urology and Complementary Medicine. Before joining the practice her experience was in the Surgery/Trauma Intensive Care Unit and the Emergency Departments of Metro Health Medical Center in Cleveland Ohio where she was also a flight nurse with Metro Life Fli ght. After moving to North Carolina she was a volunteer paramedic and training officer for the South Orange Rescue Squad in Chapel Hill while working with the Department of Surgery at UNC Hospitals.
Cheri is a member of the American Holistic Nurses Association. Her credentials include national certification in massage and bodywork and the Dr. Vodder technique of manual lymph drainage (MLD), a specific therapy for after cancer treatment of the lymphatic system. Dr. McClure and Cheri share an interest in combining complementary interventions with traditional care. Cheri is also a member of SUNA- the Society of Urology Nurses and Associates, and the American Holistic Medical Association.
After 22 years in nursing Cheri enrolled in the Master of Science graduate program at UNC Chapel Hill and became an Adult Nurse Practitioner in May of 2004. A Nurse practitioner (NP) may assess, diagnose treat and prescribe therapies for patients with common medical problems. Cheri also has operating room privileges at all four Wake County Hospitals to assist Dr. McClure in surgery.
