Hypospadias is typically found at birth on physical exam because of the unusual location of the opening. Sometimes boys have a complete prepuce, so a variant of hypospadias will be found after a circumcision. In incorrected hypospadias, each child may experience symptoms differently. This might result in abnormal direction of urine stream, or that the penis points downward with erection.
