No, there is not a genetic predisposition to developing an inguinal hernia.
What is the normal recovery time after a hernia repair?
Children recover much more quickly than adults after hernia repair surgery. Follow the instructions of your surgeon regarding post operative activity.
Will there be a need to remove sutures after a hernia repair?
No, absorbable sutures will be placed beneath the skin to close the incisions.
