About Heather Schaubach, PA-C

Heather Schaubach, MMS, PA-C, began her medical career when she was 16, as an EMT. She began volunteering with a local rescue squad and in the emergency room. She continued working as an EMT throughout her undergraduate career. She received her Bachelors Degree from Chowan University, in Murfreesboro, NC, where she majored Biology with a minor in Chemistry. She was inducted into the biology honor's society of Tri Beta. She was also given the honor of Chowan University's Distinguished Alumni. Heather received her Master's in Medical Science, with specialty in Physician Assistant Studies from Lincoln Memorial University DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine, in Harrogate, TN. She is certified by the NCCPA and is a member of AAPA and VAPA. Heather works primarily in the hospital setting, where she manages emergent urological conditions, performs bedside procedures, and evaluates hospital consultations, daily rounds on patients, with coordinating pre and post-operative care. Heather enjoys spending time with her dog, Charlie, and traveling to as many foreign beaches as possible.
